एक बार मुक्ति प्राप्त कर लेने पर यह आत्मा अनंत काल तक मुक्ति में ही रहती है; क्योंकि इस जीव को संसार में जन्म-मरण कराने व सुख-दुःख देने के कारण जो कर्म-संस्कार होते हैं, उनका ही सर्वथा अभाव हो जाता है। भौतिक शरीर में रहते हुए भी वह जीवन्मुक्त रहता है और हर पल आनंदित रहता है। भौतिक शरीर का परित्याग कर देने के बाद भी जीवात्मा एक अनुपम, अतींद्रिय व सच्चे सुख, शाश्वत सुख की अनुभूति करता है। यह मुक्ति का मार्ग किन्हीं विशिष्ट व्यक्तियों के लिए ही नहीं, अपितु संसार के प्रत्येक प्राणी के लिए खुला हुआ है। केवल उसे सम्यक पुरुषार्थ करने की आवश्यकता है।
